apt-get update; apt-get dist-upgrade
Network Manager (systray icon menu) shows that Mobile Broadband is possible, and even has a greyed-out entry for my dongle ( AT&T LTE ), but nothing I do seems to get it to connect.
However, the following commands (as root) causes a connection to be created:
apt-get install libmbim-utils
echo "APN=Broadband" > /etc/mbim-network.conf
mbim-network /dev/cdc-wdm0 start
ifconfig wwan0 up
dhclient wwan0
ifconfig wwan0 down
mbim-network /dev/cdc-wdm0 stop
It is probably something simple, in that I don't know how to use the Mobile Broadband aspect of Network Manager ( I am new to Mobile Broadband).
I have attached the output of /usr/lib/linuxmint/mintWifi/mintWifi.py , and wireless_script (ubuntu troubleshooting).
Please help me make it so that the wireless dongle ( AT&T ATT aircard 340U Sierra Wireless NETGEAR) can be started from the systray (Network Manager ?) application. Thanks!
