BCM4311 problem in Linux Mint 17 Qiana - SOLVED -

Post by chapa »

Hi,

I made a last update and totally lost my WiFi connection. I guess I've tried everything that I've found, but without success.

For another similar issue in other thread I just extract this information, don't know how useful can be and don't even ask me how I did find it. In any case thanks a lot!

Re: BCM4311 problem in Linux Mint 17 Qiana

Post by JeremyB »

Let's try

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get purge bcmwl-kernel-source broadcom-sta-common

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get install firmware-b43-installer
Then with any luck

Code: Select all

sudo modprobe b43
and wifi should work

If it doesn't work after a reboot run the script again and post the results
