Hi all,
I know this bug affected some old releases and should be fixed in mint 17 however I still can't connect to eduroam wifi network without a CA-certificate. On the config file the line choose-ca-cert=True is not written any more but the wifi applet keeps hanging for a while and then fails. This goes in cycles if the wifi is on. I am on a Dell latitude E6430. People sitting just on my side can connect to the same network with phones/Mac/windows. Do you have any idea on what could be wrong with my setup/system? Is there any netwrok package that is not updated automatically through the Update center?
Thanks a lot for the help
Emiliano

Re: eduroam connection fails
Hi,
try this when you are near the network.
It will download a script and create a file named wireless-info.txt or wireless-info.tar.gz in your home folder with wireless information so we can see the condition of your wireless at the time. The MAC address, WPA key and WEP key are removed for your security. Paste contents of the wireless-info.txt or wireless-info.tar.gz file at http://pastebin.ubuntu.com or alternatively http://pastebin.com/ then post the link here in your question.

Code: Select all
wget -N -t 5 -T 10 http://dl.dropbox.com/u/57264241/wireless_script && \chmod +x wireless_script && \./wireless_script
