I can boot with an install CD and they all appear.
Boot from the hard drive and I get the message in the title.

Is there a way to rerset everything without re installing the whole shebang?
I'm a noob to linux, and been at this problem for a couple of days now.
Wired connection works, FWIW.

Re: No valid active connections found!
Have you installed all level 1-3 updates? And there is some kernel updates available with the update manager if you click on view and then kernel updates- I believe kernel 3.13.0-32 is the latest from Ubuntu and it might solve this issue and it has some security updates as well

Got tired of wrestling with it and reinstalled.
