Hello Folks,
Despite I have made today all Level 1 updates (in fact 2) on my Linux Mint 17.1 Cinnamon 64-b as per this article: How to upgrade to Linux Mint 17.2 dated July 3rd, 2015, after a reboot and a new MintUpdate, I'm still under 17.1 and not 17.2!
Current versions are:
- Linux Mint 17.1 Cinnamon 64-bit
- Cinnamon = 2.4.8
- Kernel = 3.13.0-37-generic
- nVidia = 331.113
- mintUpdate = 4.9.2 (updated)
- mint-upgrade-info = 1.0.2 (updated)
Is this Mint upgrade procedure reliable?
Other people have the same issue?
What's wrong?
Thanks. Joe

Re: Linux Mint 17.1 upgrade towards 17.2 PB
I have found the beginning of an explanation:
The latest mintUpdate 4.9.2 (supposed to support 17.1 upgrade towrds 17.2) haven't changed rebecca to rafaela!

Re: Linux Mint 17.1 upgrade towards 17.2 PB
So, I made an "apt update" and verified again with an "inxi -r"
No change, still "rebecca" and not "rafaela"!
So, the Mint upgrade procedure is not reliable at all!

Re: Linux Mint 17.1 upgrade towards 17.2 PB
I read through all responses in this Mint blog: How to upgrade to Linux Mint 17.2 and I saw there is plenty of people not being able to upgrade from 17.1 to 17.2.
Unfortunately, there is no explanation from Mint why this is the case and what is the real fix!

Re: [SOLVED] Linux Mint 17.1 upgrade towards 17.2 PB
It was my mistake!
I haven't see Clem's directive: "Launch the System Upgrade by clicking on “Edit->Upgrade to Linux Mint 17.2 Rafaela”."!
Now, everything is okay and I'm under Rafaela.
What a pleasure...
