Improve technical documentation

Hi,
I'm always stuck when I need to configure programmatically Mint. It's always tricky to find where configuration files go.
Here is a list of some configuration folders to look at:
- ~/.cinnamon/
- ~/.config/
- ~/.gconf/
- ~/.gnome2/
- ~/.gnome2_private/ (empty)
- ~/.local/

If you want to script the configuration of a mint box you'll need to answer questions such as:
- where can I find the setting file for keyboard shortcuts?
- where can I find the setting file for autostartup application? (=> ~/.config/autostart/<your-app>.desktop)
...

Going to linuxmint.com does not help that much. There's only a PDF in the documentation section which is focused on how to use the GUI (not super useful IMO as the GUI is self explanatory). It would be great to have a page that describes the mint file layout. After all Mint is Linux based and Linux is 99% file based.

Thanks,
Bruno
