Hello,
I'm a LinuxMint 17.1 MATE 64-bit user and cannot access the #httpd on freenode, with message I'm banned.
I tried a different username which I registered, but that was also banned.
I tried /join #httpd, message banned.
I tried /join ##httpd, and an empty channel opens.
I haven't done anything wrong, so I'm wondering how to fix this?

You'll have to talk to the channel Ops for that channel on freenode. SpotChat and freenode are two different networks

A channel op, or operator, is a user that moderates a channel. Amongst other tasks, they are responsible for moderating any unwanted activity (as defined by the channel rules) and maintaining the banlist. If you're on the banlist, you have to talk to them to figure out why you were banned and whether they will let you back in (usually a ban is temporary).

Some irc networks consider this to be "ban evasion" and frown upon it.eiger3970 wrote:I tried a different username which I registered, but that was also banned.
Current bans are:
