Mate + Compiz in Mint 13

Post by feña_2 »

Hi, cheers from Chile!!, I hope you can help me with this issue

I've installed Mint Maya in the morning and Compiz and Emerald too, works great!!. But there is a "problem": my CPU use is very high, and I know this is a common issue with that "mix". So I saw that this thing can be fixed with dconf-editor (mateconf-editor) following these patterns:

Code: Select all

/desktop/mate/session/required_components/windowmanager
or

Code: Select all

/org/mate/desktop/session/required-components/windowmanager

And both patterns doesn't exist, so I can't fix that problem (and this happens on a AMD computer, well known for their temperature problems). Any suggestions?.Thanks in advance :)

Can you find either path with dconf-editor (you might need to install it)?

Yep, I've already installed dconf-editor, but I still can't find any of those paths...

Hmm..., ok, what version of MATE (not Linux Mint) are you using?
