Getting Korean fonts to work

Post by DragonDon »

Greetings all!

Since I am currently living in South Korea, and and freshly installed LM15, and now tweaking it with Conky, I would like some Korean Fonts to be used on certain lines. I have tried a few methods but not sure I'm getting the right names of the fonts.

So, first question: how do I check the name of the Korean font used by LM?

I decided to install some extra fonts and try to use the name of the package installed but that didn't seem to work. The following is one line I am using but seems to have zero effect on the rectangles displayed.

${font ttf-alee:bold:size=8}$alignc${time %A}

'ttf-alee' is the name of the extra Korean font package I installed but I am suspecting that the name is nto right mostly because there is zero effect on anything else in the script.

It does not matter to me which font I used (the default installed one that does show the date/time in the task bar in Hangul) or some other one I have to install.

Thanks in advance!
