Since Copy (a cloud-thing, sort of like Dropbox) will cease to exist in May, I thought I'd already take my files and put them on an external HDD.
So, after doing that, I right clicked the Copy-icon on the panel and removed it, then deleted all folders and files that I could immediately recognize as being from Copy - including hidden ones.
Now, also gone from the panel are:
- mintUpdate
- Alarm Clock
- ClipIt
- Dropbox (ok, we're used to that one acting up )
- Redshift (not always too panel friendly also)
Others are still there (eg volume, network, language, etc)
I logged out, even rebooted, but they won't come back, even though they are still in the Startup Applications
They're probably working normally, since eg Redshift - which makes the white stuff on the monitor easier on the eyes by turning slightly reddish - does change the colours when I click on it in the main Menu.
So it is something with the panel, but what?

This sounds, as if you have have removed the tray applet.
Right click the panel on an empty place -> add applet -> select the tray applet and ad it again.
