Re: Restore
Some more details in the question would produce some more details in the answers.
What do you want to restore: the complete system or your user account or Cinnamon? Do you have backups? Why do you want to do this?

Re: Restore
My firefox is not working and non of the methods people told me works. I think I just need to restart
Re: Restore
Honestly, I have no idea, what people told you.
If you mean by restoring to get a fresh installation, than backup your data, format the drive and install Mint anew.
If only Firefox does not work there should be another solution possible. Whatever "firefox not working" may mean, this is in most cases a problem of a defective FF-profile.
To find this out do the following:
Close FF.
Open your file-manager and make hidden files visible (press ctrl-h).
Rename the folder .mozilla to .mozilla.bck
Start FF, this will create automatically a new FF-profile.
Check.
To get back to your old profile:
Close FF.
Delete the new folder .mozilla
Rename the folder .mozila.bck back to .mozilla
Start FF. Done.
