Hi, I have identified the root cause of this issue. This problem is encountered whenever I set the panel (bottom toolbar) to 'Auto Hide' or to 'Intelligent Hide'. So, to avoid this I have to set the panel to 'Always show'. Please is there any way to fix this...

The same problem here since installed 17.3 64bit. Increasing in time. My specs:
Cinammon version 2.8.6
Kernel: 3.19.0.32.generic
Pentium dual core CPU T4500 @ 2.30 GHz x 2
3.8 Gb
Intel Corp mobile 4 series chipset integr.graphics controller
No change changing panel settings as suggested above.
Despairing problem. Considering moving onto opensuse.
