Start Menu Search: Unable to Type
Hello! I'm having an issue with the start menu. When opening the panel, I'm unable to type in the search box to find applications... typing remains focused in the previous window. Any ideas on how to fix this?

I've got the same problem.
OS : Linux Mint 17.2 Cinnamon 6-bit
Cinnamon Version 2.6.13
edit :
After restarting I can once again use the search bar in the start menu.
Before restarting though I tried to use alt + F2 and the textbox didn't register any text and I was stuck on it.
Also while I was stuck on it I was once again able to use the search bar in the start menu.

Create a new user account and test the behavior there.
