How to change the colour of the window borders?
how do I change the colour of the window border of the windows in Cinnamon? I tried installing themes but that doesn't change the border colours.

Although I do not use Cinnamon, I think you can go to "Themes", "Other settings", "windows Border".
If that does not work for you, then check out the first and second links below. Post a screen shot when you change it so we can see how you did.

FYI: I use KDE, and in that we simply go to the Windows Decorations, configure decoration, click "shadows", and pick your color(s)

I've found that the theme "nightfall" for window borders and "delorean-dark" for window controls looks nice to my eyes.
