Hi mahela007,

Although I do not use Cinnamon, I think you can go to "Themes", "Other settings", "windows Border".

If that does not work for you, then check out the first and second links below. Post a screen shot when you change it so we can see how you did.
"It’s important to note that Cinnamon themes do not change window borders, buttons, or any other application elements. These objects are controlled by GTK themes, which you have to download separately. "

Hope this helps ....

FYI: I use KDE, and in that we simply go to the Windows Decorations, configure decoration, click "shadows", and pick your color(s)

thanks. Installing themes such as Numix and Arc also help.

I've found that the theme "nightfall" for window borders and "delorean-dark" for window controls looks nice to my eyes.

Hi mahela007, and everyone else,

1.) This "Themes" article was just published 10-10-2015, which I thought you might find useful.

Themes Collection for Ubuntu 15.04 Vivid/14.10 Utopic/14.04 Trusty/12.04 Precise/Linux Mint 17.x/17/13 (Unity, Gnome Shell, GTK3, GTK2, Xfce, Cinnamon).

(Icons can be also be found here http://www.noobslab.com/p/themes-icons.html#icons)

2.) Do You Like the MS Windows Look and Feel but prefer Linux? Then Install `Mindows Transformation Pack`
"We are releasing this pack specially for Cinnamon and Mate desktops, though some of the themes in the pack can work with other desktop environments like Xfce, Lxde, and Gnome."
http://www.noobslab.com/2015/06/do-you- ... l-but.html

3.) Do You Like the Mac Look and Feel but prefer Linux? Then Install "MBuntu (MacBuntu) 14.10/14.04 Transformation Pack"
http://www.noobslab.com/2014/11/mbuntu- ... ation.html

Hope this helps ...
