Hello,
Nemo occasionally gives me a message about a problem with my thumbnail cache, and opting to fix it brings up an admin password dialog as in the attached screenshot. Can anyone tell me what's going on here? I have been hitting "Cancel" every time until I know.
Thanks!

Re: Thumbnail cache "problem"
Open terminal and enter
paste the output here.
Attention: The output is most likely tremendous. Therefore after having it pasted in your reply mark it and click the code-button above the edit-window in the forum.
Code: Select all
ls -la ~/.cache

Re: Thumbnail cache "problem"
I have had a similar problem and was able to fix it with a terminal command
enter your root password when prompted and you should see the text "User thumbnail cache successfully repaired."
Code: Select all
sudo nemo --fix-cache
