17.2 Cinnamon Screensaver Freezing

At seemingly random times, my screensaver would completely freeze, and I am unable to kill Cinnamon or even the X-server, making a cold reboot the only way to use my computer. There doesn't seem to be any single cause, it just happens.

My other computer running LMDE MATE has had no issues with the screensaver, so this might be Cinnamon-specific.

The screensaver I am using is "Flurry"

Do you mean the lock screen before Rafaela was released? I don't recall having any issues with that, it's only since Rafaela I've had this issue.

This is also in 17.2 the default screen saver. If this works, the problem seems to be in the Flurry screen saver or a problem with the graphics card. You might also test, if the problem with other - don-default - screen savers.
