Sorry if this is a newbie question. I just upgraded from windows.
I use alt-tab all the time. Sometimes (thats the weird thing, it doesn't always happen) when I alt-tab, rather than switching to the second most recent window, it will show me a preview of my open windows and the only way to make that go away is to click (which defeats the purpose of alt-tab). Is there any way to disable that?

Re: Disable preview when alt-tabbing
You should be able to change this in system settings -> windows, on the 'alt-tab' tab. Try changing the switcher style to something that works better for you.
Re: Disable preview when alt-tabbing
I don't want a different alt-tab switcher. I want to disable it.oba123 wrote:You should be able to change this in system settings -> windows, on the 'alt-tab' tab. Try changing the switcher style to something that works better for you.
Re: Disable preview when alt-tabbing
You wrote, that you do not want the preview windows. So the answer of oba123 was right: Choose a style without the previews.
Other possibility: Change the value for the delay in the same settings window from 150 milliseconds to an higher value.
Third possibility: If you get the alt-tab-window, you can also move backwards. Either by holding the shift-key additionally or with the right arrow key.
