How to change desktop icons font from white to black

Post by genri »

Mint 17.2 Cinnamon 64 - is there a way to modify the color of the desktop icons font from white to black? I found instructions to modify size but not the color.
Thanks for any help

I second this question.
How can I change icon font color on cinnamon desktop?

I have tried several things with no success:
- http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.p ... ont+change
- http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.p ... 8&t=114836
- https://mytechnicalthoughts.wordpress.c ... n-edition/
- scouring dconf editor for something that looks appropriate

Running Mint 17.2 Cinnamon 2.6.13 64bit.

We seem to have lost the ability to modify the desktop font color. It no longer obeys ".nemo-desktop.nemo-canvas-item" as of 17.*.

We'd have to ask the Cinnamon Team about what was changed and what they now recommend.
