Weird right click menu behavior with dual screens

Post by egnomic »

Hey,

So I just moved my monitors around and this is how my setup is supposed to be (with the Samsung [right one] as the primary screen):

However, when I set the monitors either in nvidia-settings or from cinammon settings as shown above, I get some weird issues with menus as shown below:

This applies to almost all menus: menus from menu bars, right click menus, etc. Everything is just stuck to the top of the screen.

If I move the right screen up like this for example:

allows me to get the menu correctly up to the upper half of the screen. If I right click on the bottom half of the screen it bugs out.
The problem only goes away if I set the two screens perfectly next to each other, but it's extremely annoying to use them like that.

I've tried quite a few things, I ran nvidia-xconfig, tried setting them to separate X-screens (cinnamon crashes). Googling returns nothing.

I also have another issue, whenever I press super, it opens the menu on my secondary screen, not the primary one. I managed to fix this by removing my main screen panel and adding it again but that lasted only until I restarted cinnamon. Is there any way to make it open the menu on whatever screen has the mouse pointer, or at least, only the primary screen?

Any ideas? Thanks!
