After upgrading from Mint 17.1 to 17.2, I found to my surprise that my ability to fine-tune the manner in which the date and time were shown on the panel had decreased. I can presently chose to show (a Swedish-language version of) the day of the week, the date, the month, the hour (according to a 24 hour clock), minutes and seconds, as per the screenshot below. Previously, I was able to customise this presentation to also show the year and my time zone (at the moment CEST - Central European Summer Time). Is there any way in which I can regain that fine-tuning ability in 17.2 ?....

There is no change. Open the preferences of the calendar applet (right click it) and choose to use a custom format.

Thanks, Cosmo - I actually discovered that fiddling around last night. Nice in any event to know that someone is listening ! Now if some kind soul could only tell me why I see that strange «Unable to install» notice when making use of the Software Package Manager, despite its actually doing so, as I mentioned in a cri de coeur on these fora some three weeks ago !...Cosmo. wrote:There is no change.
