LM 17.2 Cinnamon long shut down in VBox 5.0.0 on Windows 10

I'm running LM 17.2 Cinnamon in VirtualBox 5.0.0 using a Windows 10 host. The virtual machines take a long time to shut down for both 32 bit and 64 bit virtual machines. If I log into an Xfce4 destop session in the virtual machines the problem doesn't occur. I didn't have the problem in Windows 7 (I upgraded to Windows 10 and re-installed VirtualBox). Any settings anywhere in the virtual machines I can change to force a short shutdown time?

shouldn't that be a win-10 in a VB on a Linux Host

probably best if you downgrade to VB 4.3.xx rather than using VB 5.0 as that's fairly cutting edge.
( two unknowns involved - win-10 && VB 5.0 ) ( unknown reliability )

- having said that, am running VB 5.0 here, but have had no issues, as the host is LMDE2.

Host is Windows 10. Guest is LM 17.2 CInnamon.

try downgrading to VB 4.3.xx

OK. Will try and see if VBox 4.3.xx will run on Windows 10 host.

Uninstalled VBox 5.0.0 and installed VBox 4.3.30. Same problem but also with mouse problems in the guest. Uninstalled VBox 4.3.30 and re-installed VBox 5.0.0 and original problem went away. Go figure.

Problem came back. The problem is that the system takes a long time to log out. I will see if there is a Cinnamon setting somewhere to adjust this. Otherwise I will live with it.

What is "long time"? Can you reproduce the problem, if you connect an ISO-image (also 17.2 Cinnamon) to the VM and boot it?
