Muffin package

Post by yoburtu »

I've installed Linux Mint Rafaela 17.2 recently.

I've question. I don't familiarized with Cinnamon, but I've seen that muffin package is not installed in my system. I thought that muffin was the window manager of Cinnamon.

Code: Select all

$ dpkg -l | grep muff
ii gir1.2-muffin-3.0 2.6.1+rafaela amd64 GObject introspection data for Muffin
ii libmuffin0 2.6.1+rafaela amd64 window and compositing manager (shared library)
ii muffin-common 2.6.1+rafaela all window and compositing manager (data files)

$ apt-cache search muffin
gir1.2-muffin-3.0 - GObject introspection data for Muffin
libmuffin-dev - window and compositing manager (development files)
libmuffin0 - window and compositing manager (shared library)
muffin - window and compositing manager
muffin-common - window and compositing manager (data files)
muffin-dbg - window and compositing manager (debugging symbols)
muffin-doc - Muffin documentation
elk-lapw - All-Electron Density-Functional Electronic Structure Code
Is not neccesary muffin package?.

Best regards.

I just looked at my LMDE 2 install and muffin is not installed either, the libs are installed but not muffin itself.

Edit: It's all good, Cinnamon is the window manager. I just asked about this.
