Screensaver

Post by jaygee43 »

Using cinnamon LM17/17.1/17.2 64 bit. When screen saver activates the time does not advance. When I go back to using the computer the time is incorrect. This means when using CQRLOG radio logger all the radio contact times are incorrect. I can reset the computer time manually by clicking on the date time on the bottom task bar RH side.Anyone know how to fix this problem? Thanks.

It might be similar issue to what I'm experiencing when waking up my laptop from suspend; basically the date & time are wrong, sometimes more than 2 days into the future, sometimes frozen at the time of suspend.

I've created a post, http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.p ... e#p1046130, but I have yet to find a solution. Like you said, the only way to correct the date & time is to manually reset it, either in time & date settings or using a command in terminal. I have yet to find a solution -- I'm actually selling that laptop because I can't get used to the keyboard, so I won't be looking for a solution.

I think this might be wider issue, at least for my case I'm observing it on Ubuntu as well. Moreover, my other old laptop has the same issue; however, as soon as I log in, the date & time will automatically adjust to the correct one -- so at least for the old laptop I don't have to manually correct the date & time.
