Unable to access trash on new install

This is a new install, so very strange. When trying to open the trash (rubbish bin) I get the error -

Sorry, could not display all the contents of "trash": Operation not supported



I've looked around, but I cannot find a clear solution.

Note - my inxi -Fxz info

The rubbish bin is accessible from these locations.

1. the Desktop - turn it on via System Settings, Desktop
2. the panel - after activating the Rubbish Bin applet (System Settings, Applets)
3. from Nemo, Trash

Open your Home directory and right click on any file. Select "Open with" and go to "Other Application". Set "Files" as default.

Thanks for the reply. The issue was with the trash not allowing me to access the folder, as seen in the screenshot.

The issue seems to have fixed itself. Very bazaar.
