Window background is black, can't see it at all

Post by Zeref »

I just installed Cinamon 2.4 on Ubuntu 14.4 LTS.
I didn't see any errors with the install, but when I start a session, all window backgrounds are black. I am can dropboes and the circle for radio button, but never the text to the radio button.
Any ideas on how i can fix this?

Thanks,

A lot of people have reported this on Github. It's usually fixed by disabling the overlay-scrollbars. Open a terminal and try:

Code: Select all

gsettings set com.canonical.desktop.interface scrollbar-mode normal
Then restart Cinnamon or log out and back in.
