Hi,
I am running x64 mint 17 with cinnamon.
My Terminal app starts completely transparent for some reason. The bug also makes my desktop icons not show up. This started to happen recently and I don't know why. I haven't done anything that would mess with Cinnamon's settings, so this whole thing is really confusing to me.
I uploaded a screenshot of how the Terminal window looks like to imgur: http://imgur.com/oUv7z9d
I tried to mess with window transparency settings in Cinnamon to no avail. Any suggestions?
Thank you!

Right click on terminal
profile - profile preferences - background
shade transparent or image background : increase slider to nearer maximum.

I don't think that's going to help,it looks like titlebar and window decorations are missing.delboy58 wrote:Right click on terminal

Op can you try running mint from a live cd/usb and see if you are getting the same issues with the terminal?
also maybe try changing themes and see if it still happens.
