My install was working fine with my 4350, I upgraded to a 5770, installed fglrx, ran aticonfig --initial, rebooted, and after logging in I get a crash windows and it reverts to fallback mode.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Re: Cinnamon crashing after video card upgrade
Does it do that using the open source driver? The reason I ask is because I used to run on a computer that had the 5775 and it ran trouble free with the open source drivers.

I blacklisted the fglrx module, restored my backed up xorg.conf, and tried rebooting with radeon and it has the same problem.exploder wrote:Does it do that using the open source driver? edit: when I run inxi -Gx it says "N/A" under GLX Renderer, GLX Version, and Direct Rendering on both the FOSS and proprietary drivers.
