Dear all,
I am trying to build a customized Live DVD as described here http://community.linuxmint.com/tutorial/view/1784. One of the things I'd like to have is German as the default language right from the start. Setting the keyboard layout (qwertz instead of qwerty) via /etc/default/locale works fine. Now I'd like Cinnamon to start with the menu in German, too.
As one of the last steps before creating the ISO for the DVD, I can work in the chrooted environment, which contains the future DVD's filesystem. But as far as I see, I cannot start the system configuration applet from there, since it's just a console. It is possible to start GUI tools like synaptic, I just have no clue how to start the system configuration from there.
Any ideas?
Best regards,
Hauke
p.s.: I really wasn't sure whether to ask this question here or in the "installation" section.
