how to change the screen size detected ?

Hello everyone,

linux mint 17 detected my 40" screen as 42" and this causes edges cut off.

I tried everything I found on the internet but no use.

It has to be a way to modify this configuration.

if you know how, please tell me.

Cinnamon?; Mate?; Xfce?, KDE?

What version?

17.0?; 17.1?

Open the terminal and type:

You need to install AMD Catalyst proprietary driver for your Radeon HD 75xxM series graphic card.

Download and install it, following site instructions...
