I am using Linux Mint 17.1 Cinnamon.
I am trying to get XScreensaver to run as eye candy for a time before the screen turns off, then use the default screen locker as security before allowing return access to the system. It hasn't been working; I can get one or the other to run, but I can't get them to work together. I am starting to think that activating one prevents the other from activating, but I am not sure how to find out.
Are XScreensaver and Screen Locker Mutually Exclusive?

Re: Are XScreensaver and Screen Locker Mutually Exclusive?
Xscreensaver has its own screen blocker, why not use it as an alternative?, because I also think that the default screen Blocker is incompatible with xscreensaver.
