I want to play around with XFCE on my Cinnamon system. Everything is working great in Cinnamon, so don't want to muck it up.
- If this is NOT risky, what's easiest way to install.

Have you considered using VirtualBox? That's how most "play around" with stuff without breaking their main installation.Kendoori wrote:I want to play around

Good idea on Virtualbox. I will install Cinnamon and see what happens when I put XFCE on top of it.

I use Cinnamon as my primary DE but always install XFCE as a backup DE just in case something gets goobered up in Cinnamon. I have never had any sign of a conflict between the two.
i7 3770, 12GB of ram, 256GB SSD, 64GB SSD, 750GB HDD, 1TB HDD, Cinnamon.
