I did an update all last night via webmin. Rebooted this morning, now monitor is blank except have functioning mouse curser.
have HP Pavillion a6530n replaced motherboard with ASRock A785GM-LE a few days ago.
4 G ram
Athlon 2x 5000+
500G drive for os
2 3T wd red drives, btrfs raid1. installed a few days ago
Mint cinnamon 17 AMD64
shut down this morning to replace cpu fan. reboot to almost blank monitor.
I don't want to re-install. My skill level is limited, it would take a week or more to get it like it is how.
P.S. just noticed edit button. mint icon displayed during boot and everything else seems to work. webmin, samba shares, plex server, transmission-daemon

Forgot to mention. Removed gforce 8800 GT video card and using onboard vga when motherboard replaced. worked ok 3 days.
