Remove panel on Cinnamon Desktop

Post by jofran »

I have installed cairo-dock in linux-mint 17 Cinnamon. I want to remove desktop panel (top and bottom). I installed dconf-editor,but I find no way to remove panel,
org-->gnome-->gnome-panel-->layout
On mate-desktop this is possible in dconf-editor
org-->mate-->desktop-->session
Thank you for your attention.

What I've seen others recommend is to enable auto-hide for the panel, and set it to zero pixel height. That was from a post from 2 years ago, so not sure if that still gives the desired result. The panel isn't optional; it's an integral part of Cinnamon so you'll have to settle on hiding it.
