I'm running Mint 17 (64 bit), v. 2.2.16 and for some reason I am unable to edit my workspaces. I press Ctrl+Alt+Up to get into Expo mode, but when I move my cursor to the right side of the screen the "+" button to add a new workspace does not show up. Also, I don't see the "X" button on the top corner of any workspaces to delete them. The only thing I am able to do is rename the two existing workspaces (I could at one point add a new workspace).
I have tried restarting and updating Cinnamon, but the two workspaces remain and the control buttons are still missing. Let me know if you require any additional information to help solve the problem. Thanks!

Re: can't edit workspaces -- missing add & delete buttons
This problem was solved in a different thread by changing to a different Cinnamon theme - try the default Cinnamon theme.

The appearance of the + button is managed by the theme. If you use an old Cinnamon theme which is not compatible with Cinnamon 2.2 (or 2.0), you will get various errors like this.
