Status Bar Blurry after Resumed from Suspend

Post by Thaigolu »

Hello,

I'm running LM16 64-bit Cinnamon. After resuming from suspend mode my status bar is kinda blurry almost every time. I made a screenshot:

After restarting Cinnamon it looks normal again.

My question now is: How can I prevent the status bar from getting blurry after resuming? Or, if there is no solution to it: How can I get Cinnamon to automatically restart when resuming?

Thanks in adavance!

As in accordance with the forum rules and especially rule #5 we need more info about your system. Can you please provide us the output of the terminal command mentioned under rule #5!

OK, finding the cause for this issue might be difficult. But I know that there is a possibility to automatically run scripts after resuming from suspend/hibernation. Does anyone know how I can restart Cinnamon with a script?

So, I found out that the command for restarting Cinnamon is the following:

Code: Select all

cinnamon --replace
The place for scripts that should be run automatically after resuming is /etc/pm/sleep.d/. Unfortunately, I don't know a thing about scripting. How can I get the command mentioned above in a script that can be executed automatically?

I just realized that there is a script section in this board. Can someone (who has the rights to do so) maybe please move this thread to the script section and edit the title to "Restart Cinnamon after Resuming from Suspend Mode"?
I think I won't be able to fix the actual error but at least I want to get the obvious workaround running.

Thanks a lot in advance!
