Hi,
I am using Linux 17 with Cinnamon DE. I am trying to make panel transparent by tweaking the cinnamon.css but to no effect. Cinnamon.css lies on the path /home/[$USER_NAME]/.themes/Adwaita Classic/cinnamon/cinnamon.css.
I have tried to search #panel and made some additions like back-groundcolor etc but without desired effect. It is evident that once you make a change, it reflects, only that the correct change needs to be made to have that desired result.
Kindly guide if anyone has come across this or done this or give it a try.
Thanks & Regards.

Try the method here: http://www.techsupportalert.com/content ... dition.htm.
It worked nicely for me. Just make sure to restart Cinnamon after making and saving the change.

What happens with this is that the when you open anything, that part of panel where the app rests becomes black and as usual of the theme. If no app is opened, then the whole taskbar is transparent...tdockery97 wrote:Try the method here: http://www.techsupportalert.com/content ... dition.htm.
