Hi,
I got the default Cinnamon setup, meaning right of the menu I got the "show desktop" applet and then firefox, terminal and file browser shortcuts.
I am looking for a way to remove these from terminal but not sure where to start, should I use gsettings?

Is there some reason you want to use the terminal?
You can right-click on the launchers > Remove
