Hi,
I encountered a problem, that at some time after starting Mint 17 application icons in Cinnamon tray are stop responding on any actions.
Restarting Cinnamon seems to solve problem, but it still annoying.

Re: Inactive tray icons in Mint 17 Cinnamon
Something similar/related: I have google chrome start up on boot, so upon booting, there is a chrome icon and a hangouts icon (from the extension) and everything is fine. If I exit chrome and reopen it, the chrome tray icon disappears, although there is a blank (and unresponsive) spot where the icon should be. The hangouts icon though, works fine

Desktop icons become static. Eventually, dock bar also disappears. ZorinOS6 did the same so the propblem must be with the new Ubuntu 14.04 that it is based upon?
I reverted to LM15 Xfce which works.

Re: Inactive tray icons in Mint 17 Cinnamon
Problem solved for me by replacing default "System Tray" applet with "System Tray Collapsible" (http://cinnamon-spices.linuxmint.com/applets/view/154).
Re: Inactive tray icons in Mint 17 Cinnamon
The "System Tray Collapsible" applet actually doesn't solve the problem.NightmaresSeller wrote:Problem solved for me by replacing default "System Tray" applet with "System Tray Collapsible" (http://cinnamon-spices.linuxmint.com/applets/view/154).
