Wallpaper Background Changer - LM17 Cinnamon

I have used Linux Mint ever since Linux Mint 13. I loved using Wallch on LM 13, 14, 15, 16... but now with Linux Mint 17 (Cinnamon), Wallch no longer works!

Does anyone have any suggestions for a background wallpaper changer I can use with Qiana?

Install this extension http://cinnamon-spices.linuxmint.com/extensions/view/28

then go to /home/xxx/.local/share/cinnamon/extensions/backgrounds@mohammad-sn and open the metadata.json and expand the entry "cinnamon-version": with "2.2" so it looks like this:

I have the same problems................... Wallch just crashes.............Oh..Well, back to the drawing board..............

WallCH has updated and works with Mint17 Cinnamon. Nice new interface as well.

The background extension run fine with Cinnamon 2.6 (LM 17.2) with the little patch in the metadata.json.

But I don't find it today in Spices (and in list of extensions). How to install it today?

I've never tried that Cinnamon extension. How does it differ from the built in wallpaper slideshow? Can't remember if that was available in Mint17/Cinnamon2.2. Not sure why you would need to use it Cinnamon 2.6.

I have not found how to select images in the slide show...

Add the pre-installed slideshow-control applet to the panel, then right click the applet in the panel.
