I have seen the Super+L issue on Mint 17 on two laptops now.

- Go to Menu -> System Settings
Open Keyboard
Open Keyboard Shortcuts
Add new Custom Shortcut
Name: Lock Screen
Command: gnome-screensaver-command -l
Then save it by clicking Add
Now assign the keyboard shortcut to Super L (Windows+L).

Am I correct in understanding that there is no workaround to get properly functioning win+<key> shortcuts?
Just like Stoffe, I need Ctl+Alt+T for my IDE. I would like Win+T to instead open a terminal.
For reference, I can confirm this was not an issue in Mint 13.

It also asks: do you really wish to change that key combination to do something else?
So I don't understand the conclusion that there is no workaround for shortcuts.
