I'm getting my new LM16 setup going and I seem to have lost the look + feel of the Nemo file manager.
I'm guessing I lost a base look and feel component somewhere. I get a similar L+F when I add a bookmark tab in Chrome; the little add bookmark dialog has the same clunky theme.
This is LM16 64-bit, with a Radeon 5850 gpu.
I'll attach a screenshot. Any suggestions?

Sometimes when you change a theme, windows that require root privileges don't quite get the right treatment. I have no idea if this will actually help, but try this:
1) Open Terminal
2) Copy/paste and run this command:
3) Then copy/paste and run this command:
4) Reboot or log out and log back in and see if desired changes took effect.
1) Open Terminal
2) Copy/paste and run this command:
Code: Select all
sudo ln -s ~/.themes /root/.themes
Code: Select all
sudo ln -s ~/.icons /root/.icons
Re: lost Nemo look and feel
I seem to remember the Nemo window looking a lot better, at least on my LM15 install. I'm assuming I broke something as I was setting up my LM16 install.
Thanks for the replies, I'll try out your fixes!
