Cinnamon really slow?
Cinnamon seems really slow. Well, when Firefox slows down for me, other apps are effected. I might have LibreOffice open and it takes forever for actions to complete... things slow down to a crawl. I have to wait a long time to be able to 'save file.' Is there a bug? I read someplace that Cinnamon is becoming slower and getting more bloated.

What are your system specs, especially amount of RAM? The amount seen by Mint can be found in: Settings > System Info
What percentage of your memory is being used when you have no applications open (except system monitor)? Can be found in: System Monitor under Resources tab.
Also, is your installation on an internal HD, on USB drive, or on an external HD through some other connection?

Which version are you running? Cinnamon 2? Petra (Mint 16)?
