My screensaver is still active despite I unchecked “Activate screensaver when computer is idle”.
In “Power Management”, I also set both “Actions” and “Display” on “never”.
Dit I forget something extra to do?
My O.S. is Mint 17.1 Mate.

Re: Screensaver still active
Seems your not alone as am I with this problem. I unchecked activate screensaver and lock screen along with Actions” and Display” on “never”.
Finally I just slid the bar in regard the computer as idle to 2 hours.
Will live with that until I find someone who has an answer to this problem. Bummer I know.

Could not do anything with the other response because I cannot find that xorg.conf file. I think this has
something to do with the difference between MATE a KDE?

Try this in a terminal:
xset s off
xset -dpms
*If* it works, add it to you login somewhere.
