How to update libwnck to fix broken vertical panels?
According to this bug report, Mate developers say that Mint 17 is using an outdated version of libwnck. I reported this issue on the dev Blog for RC1 and recently again here. Is there anyway to update this library myself?

Hi,
check the version of yours first, but here is the one from the ubuntu rep (seems it's the only one packaged nothing different for trusty)

I first encountered this bug with the default version that came with a fresh Install of Mint Mate 17. Even applying all of the updates, the panel is still broken. How do I use the Ubuntu version?

you can just download it, it's a .deb file so synaptic will install it automatically.

What version fixed it for you? I tried the one at:
https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/trusty/+pa ... ibwnck-dev
And my vertical panel is still broken. If I can't get this fixed, I'm going back to Mint 16 or another distro.
