Google Chrome -- MDM re-paint failure
I'm using Mint 17 with Mate. Things work fine, except for Google Chrome. When Chrome is minimized the background isn't re-painted. It worked fine with Mate on Mint 15 & 16.

Same here, and it's driving me nuts. Every time I switch workspaces I have to minimize Chrome and scrub the screen with another window.
Re: Google Chrome -- MDM re-paint failure
I think I have the same issue.
When I DISABLE the compositing windows, OpenGL applications are NOT repainted.

When I ENABLE compositing windows, OpenGL applications are repaint correctly... but got tearing issues (vsync).

A good test for tearing (vsync) issue in Chrome :

Re: Google Chrome -- MDM re-paint failure
If this is only with Chrome, and not applications, try disabling the hardware acceleration in Advanced Settings (of Chrome). I'm guessing it's caused by the video driver...

Re: Google Chrome -- MDM re-paint failure
The important thing is that Chrome was JUST FINE with Mint 15 & 16 and Mate. This is a regression in the OS probably in MDM.kevins_76 wrote:If this is only with Chrome, and not applications, try disabling the hardware acceleration in Advanced Settings (of Chrome).
