best howto for installing LMDE on LVM on LUKS?

What's the {best, easiest, most straightforward, least editing required} {howto, tutorial, instructions} for installing LMDE on LVM on LUKS? Why I ask:
My experimentation box runs LMDE (as does my production box). Both have hard partitioning: i.e., /boot, /home, /usr, /var (etc) on separate partitions created with gparted. Soon after UP5 arrived, I tried to install UP5 on my experimentation box, but the install failed when my /var partition totally filled :-( I've been meaning to update to LVM-on-LUKS, so I guess now is the time.
Hence I'm looking for guidance on how to install LMDE-on-LVM-on-LUKS on a "fresh box" (since I'm willing to blow away everything except its windows partition, and even that if I must). After a few hours on this forum, it looks like my best option is to use CyL's tutorial here with edits as suggested by UnrealMiniMe here. But I'd appreciate straightforward alternatives you might suggest. Even more I'd appreciate an LMDE installer that supported LVM-on-LUKS, or even an LMDE installer that came with UP5 (instead of 201204) :-)
