Mint 10 Ethernet gone.. (somewhat transferring topic)

Post by boxmein »

If you people can't help me, noone can.
I have asked: LinuxMint IRC, Linux Questions, even Estonian IRC but nothing. NOTHING.
So, I'm transferring a topic into here.
Original topic:http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions ... om-866752/
First post:
OS: Linux Mint 10 | Windows 7
Install Type: WUBI inside windows 7
Computer: HP Compaq Presario CQ56'
Network: Realtek PCIe FE Family controller
Problem in: Network Connection
Issue: After I woke up my computer from Sleep, I lost ethernet. No connection. It told me that I had lost my connection. Why? Now, after several restarts, nothing.
I have done everything they asked.
All you may neet to know(incl logs) are on the original topic.

There are so many things in 09, what should I look at? I am using Ethernet, not Wireless... (yeah, a newbie)

Hi!
But the first screenshot shows you "ethernet" (cable) - maybe you must edit it.

Hi!
Sorry, no further advice.
If it would be my problem, I would disable ipv6.

I attempted method "Some Googling is telling me there is a problem with the driver. This post tells me there may be a solution by installing eth-tool and modifying /etc/network/interfaces.
http://adam.rosi-kessel.org/weblog/2...k-down-problem
At this point I'd give that a try."
I tried it, and I have a Terminal log. http://pastebin.com/asBdwhtG Here it is. What do you know about these?
