I would like to hear everyones experiences with changing Mint 17's XFCE to LXQt (or even LXDE).
1) Will I lose my programs and settings when I change DEs?
2) Can I have more than one DE and pick which one I want when I'm logging in?
3) An article on how to change my DE would be nice also.
Any help would be great!

I'm guessing I'll have both but might have some problems getting somethings to work.

I found some info about having multiply DEs.
