Thanks guys for the latest release. I installed Petra Mate a couple of days ago and everything is working fine. The only problem that I appear to have is there is no login sound and I can't find a way to get it working, it's not a real big deal but I do miss that little greeting note. I also added a lot of extra libraries so that I could install Gimp 2.8.8 and synaptic froze once during the process, I might have overloaded it or something, but it seems okay now.
Some stuff I made using FOSS http://caz747.deviantart.com/

Same as above - no login sound. :( I had tested Linux Mint 16 in a virtual box and I had discovered some things:

1. No login sound.
2. In the startup applications there are programs that exists twice like Network and PolicyKit.
3. I don't know what is the reason but AGAIN in the Start Menu there is a bug when I select items with the mouse. The marker sometimes remains at one place while the mouse have a second marker which already is moving.

Except this little things everything worked great! The memory usage was excellent, the CPU usage, no lagging at all - just great! The final version will be my main OS again. 8)

Well after 9 months of running a dual boot (windows vista/Mate) laptop, I tested/backed up/installed Petra as my one and only operating system!

Congratulations guys its brilliant, everything I have tried works well, even the carried forward solutions for HDMI sound from Mint 14. The whole task took me just 1 hour.

I just love Linux Mate and am learning mopre about it every day. Keep up the good work.

Thaks for your great work. Here’s a wishlist for the upcoming releases:
 • Activating the option: Enable mouse clicks with touch-pad.
 • Adding Faenza Icons to your repository.
 • Banshee/Rhythmbox should integrate with audio control like old LinuxMint versions: http://i.stack.imgur.com/pZmjE.png
 • Supporting Lyricist and Publisher fields in Banshee.
 • USB Image Writer: should be a part of Brasero.
 • USB Image Formatter: should be a part of Caja.
 • Zim instead f Tomboy.
 • Adding a shopping cart to «Software Manager».

No way to install wine in the 64bit rc.
The ia32 libs no longer exist. And the suggestion of installing all manually fails - see the tread in the Cinnamon version.

For those that have the RC installed, do this to upgrade to final release: How to upgrade from RC to Stable (MATE/Cinnamon editions)
